6 Arrows Media is thrilled to announce the NEW EPISODE of our new series, Dig the Artist.
Dig the Artist showcases the many talents of Indigenous performers from across Turtle Island. The series endeavours to deliver intimate artist profiles that give fans a glimpse into the personal, professional and creative lives of the established, the up-and-coming and the newest Indigenous artists from coast to coast.
The featured performers will sing, laugh, cry and showcase their talents for the world in each episode. It will be fun, informative, sometimes touching and always entertaining.
Our latest episode showcases a powerhouse called, The Ollivanders.
Popular Southern Ontario band, The Ollivanders, whose members hail from both Six Nations and Caledonia, have hard-driving tunes with distinct primal beats. The three-member group, all close friends since attending McKinnon Park Secondary School in Caledonia, consists of Ohsweken residents Ryan Johnson (bass guitar, back-up vocals) and Marty Isaacs (lead guitar, vocals), and Ryan Mickeloff (drums, percussion) of Caledonia.
They came together at a time when the Douglas Creek Estates land claims conflict was at its full height, and relationships between the two communities were strained for many. Coming together is paying off and it shows in the rocking performances they put on for this episode of Dig the Artist.
